HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY

Last spring a Cardinal mama build a nest just inches from our living room window. For several weeks we had a front row seat as she laid eggs and cared for them. One day I woke to hear 3 tiny chirps. Papa came back at this point to help collect food. Watching these babies grow from tiny balls of feathers to wide-eyed birds that took flight was so memorable. So we were thrilled to see the same Cardinal return and build a new nest this spring.

Whether your birdies have just hatched or have taken flight, I hope all you Mothers out there have a joyful Mothers day!

CAMOBODIA & VIETNAM

I recently had the fortune of traveling to Cambodia and Vietnam with my husband and a dear friend. It is a fascinating corner of the world. The people (as well as the weather) are incredibly warm. The food is fresh, abundant and delicious. The landscape varies greatly by region: we saw peaceful countryside, manic cities, incredible rivers, blissful beaches, foggy and lush mountains, and awe inspiring architecture. When can I go back?

ANNOUNCING BABY

Using the photos I took of this litte guy a few weeks ago I created a petite baby announcement. The card was printed with photos and greetings front and back, then wrapped in a transparent blue sleeve. A newborn hospital bracelet was printed with his name & ‘vitals’ then cut to shape, wrapped around the sleeve and finished with a small button.

A TALE OF TWO WILLIAMS

I had the joy of photographing 2 families just before Christmas, both with new additions to the family named William. I’m predicting these 2 to be best friends who will share many childhood milestones- same names, same birth weeks & their parents work together- before we know it they will be be crawling all over the creche together.

Both Williams bundled up for the cold & obliged the camera. All six week olds are so cheerful, right?

Aubrey & Tim had an intimate, heartfelt wedding day at home amongst their closest family and friends. Every element of their day was meaningful and handcrafted. Aubrey even made her own bouquet which was tied with a ribbon from her Great-Grandmother’s wedding bouquet! Thanks for asking me to document your day!
